A Calendar Element is one of the following items: the Month Element (the calendar
grid), a Mini-Calendar, a Note, or a Picture (placed on the layout page).
A Calendar Element can be resized, rotated, or moved around on the page. The Calendar
Element must first be unlocked. It is suggested that you keep your Calendar Elements
locked when you are not doing something that requires them to be unlocked. Locking
will prevent accidentally moving, rotating, resizing or deleting a Calendar Element
when you are trying to edit some other object. All templates, including the ones
you create yourself, have their Calendar Elements locked when you open them.
To unlock your Calendar Element click anywhere on the Calendar Element to select
it. Locate any one of the resizing boxes that show that the Calendar Element is selected.
Generally you can tell if the Calendar Element is locked or not by looking at the
resizing boxes. The Calendar Element is locked if there is a little X mark in the
resizing box. In some layouts you may not be able to see all of the resizing box.
In theses cases move your cursor over one of the resizing boxes. If the cursor changes
to a padlock, then the Calendar Element is locked. If the cursor changes to a double-ended
arrow, then the Calendar Element is unlocked. If it is unlocked, be careful not to
accidentally change the size of your calendar element. If it is locked, hold down
the Option and the Command keys and click on the resizing box when the cursor changes
to a padlock. After you click the cursor will change to the double-ended arrow. You
may now change the size of your Calendar Element by dragging one of the resizing
boxes. You can also change the size and rotate your Calendar Element by opening the
Inspector and selecting the third pane, Calendar Element Settings. Select the Size
tab.
The Position coordinates are those of the top left corner of the Calendar Element.
The Size, Width and Height, function as indicated. The Rotation is in degrees counter-clockwise
from the Calendar Elements normal orientation.
After you have your Calendar Element as you want, you will want to lock it so that
it is not accidentally moved.
To lock the Calendar Element, hold down the Command and Option keys and move your
cursor over one of the resizing boxes until you see the double-ended arrow, then
click while still holding down the Command and Option keys. When you see the padlock,
you will know it is locked. |
